everytime I look at a plane, i always stare at where the wings connect to the fuselage. how do the wings just not snap off?

Very well-engineered load-balancing. You think it's impressive just sitting there? Think about when these things have to exert force on them during maneuvers.
Also notice the wing-wheels. Yeah. The wings are so long and heavy that it requires wheels before the lift can hold it up. Crazy.
